The Thing – Retro Films at The Lieder

Each of these films has left its mark on cinema and continues to captivate audiences today.

The Thing (1982)
In the frozen isolation of Antarctica, a group of American researchers is shaken when a helicopter fires on a sled dog near their base. Taking the dog in proves disastrous as it attacks both humans and animals, revealing its terrifying ability to perfectly mimic its victims. Helicopter pilot R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell) and the camp doctor (Richard Dysart) must lead the team in a desperate, bloody struggle to survive before the creature picks them off one by one.
